This, what you're feeling, it is not substantial. It is in your mind.

So you avoid love. As every cliché ever. Prefer stability. Pragmatism. Substantial things.
Love, emotional attachment, it's in the mind, always. Any emotion, come to think about it. This is a part of reality that will never be real, and as is common for irreal things, eventually, they vanish.
You're left with pain that will vanish as well. It is all in vein, and nothing you feel is really important at all. You'll forget. You win the lottery. Brilliant, until you're used to having money. Three months tops and all feels more or less the way it always has. Every, every, every emotion is temporary.
You can't hold on to anything.
